Workshop description:
You will paint and finish your own side table with milk paint. You will learn the basics of how to work with milk paint and clear wax. You will also learn some tricks for distressing your piece and how to make it feel silky smooth. You will leave with a finished piece.
What to expect:
Allow about 3hrs. When you arrive, you will learn how to mix the paint and then start painting your table. Milk paint dries pretty quickly, so you should be able to begin the 2nd coat by the time you finish the first. Once you have two coats of paint on your piece, you're welcome to shop for a bit while the paint dries. After the break, we will work on distressing, waxing, and finishing your piece.
Prep work to do before you arrive:
Remove any stickers or other "mystery" spots by using a little rubbing alcohol or vinegar & water. If any part of the old finish is peeling, scrape or peel those bits off. If your piece is shiny, please sand to scuff the shine off. Wipe off your table with damp rag so that the surface is clean.
If you have any questions, please message me on Facebook or email me at info@zanyzinnia.com
